About Us
Who We Are
The Yellowstone Naturopathic Clinic is the leading natural health medical center in the region and has been actively involved in providing integrated medicine to Billings and the outlying communities, including Wyoming and the Dakotas since 1992.
We currently have four naturopathic primary care physicians, an integrative chiropractor, and an acupuncturist on staff. A holistic dentist, two massage therapists and an organic esthetician all provide services on site. Our Oasis Health Spa, on the lower level of the clinic, provides naturopathic colonics and constitutional hydrotherapy services, including sauna/cold plunges, vicchy shower and various body wraps.
Our physical medicine department continues to develop with chiropractic care that includes certification in Regenerative Injection Therapy and the Egoscue Method. Our Seasonal Cleanse and First Line Therapy programs help our patients to maintain health and well being, naturally.
We have built strong relationships with the medical community in Billings, and we are known for appropriately referring patients for treatment outside of our scope of practice or expertise. We are currently partnering with several specialty physicians, including sponsoring a shared cancer care residency with St. Vincent’s Healthcare.
Our Principles
Naturopathic Physicians are guided by the following principles:
-
First of all, to do no harm.
-
To act in cooperation with the Healing Power of Nature.
-
To address the fundamental causes of disease.
-
To heal the whole person through individualized treatment.
- To teach the principles of healthy living and preventive medicine.
Clinic History
Dr. Margaret Beeson opened the doors of the Yellowstone Naturopathic Clinic in a small house on Grand Avenue in 1992. The incredible response to Naturopathic Medicine by this community caused YNC to outgrow the tiny house on Grand.
In 2002, the clinic moved to a beautifully renovated office building in the middle of Billings’ medical corridor and has continued to grow and provide expanded complementary and alternative services for the area.
In March 2005, the YNC was accepted as a certified residency site for Bastyr University, a leading naturopathic medical school in Seattle, Washington. Under Dr. Margaret Beeson's supervision, graduating doctors are placed in the YNC Residency Program for one- and two-year residencies. The residency program has the joint purpose of providing advanced clinical experience for newly graduated ND’s and much needed naturopathic services to the greater Billings community. A certain number of the residents elect to remain in the area to serve our community on a long term basis.
Dr. Deborah Angersbach completed from the program in October 2006 and is now an Associate Physician at the clinic. Today, the YNC hosts two resident doctors, one of whom specializes in oncology care and shares a residency with the clinic and St. Vincent’s Healthcare.
