IV Therapy

In IV therapy, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and other healing substances are injected into a vein for direct delivery to cells and tissues. Injected nutrients are delivered in greater amounts and with more effect than can be accomplished via inhalation, ingestion, or injection under the skin.  The immediate and complete absorption of nutrients into the bloodstream delivers quick results, bypassing liver filtration and malabsorptive bowels.

The therapy has few or no side effects and is useful for treating a wide range of medical problems, including:

  • Migraine headaches
  • Fatigue
  • Allergies
  • Heart disease
  • Asthma
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Infections
  • Chronic pain
  • Chronic sinusitis

It might also be prescribed to enhance immune system function, aid detoxification, chelate heavy metals and athroschlerotic plaque, improve nutrition, and generally energize the body.

Injections can consist of a single substance in liquid form or multiple substances, as determined by your doctor for your specific needs.  The vitamin-mineral concoction known as the Myer’s cocktail, in use for more than 30 years, contains magnesium, calcium, vitamin B complex, and vitamins B12, B6, B5, and C.

Treatment times vary from 5 minutes (syringe) to an hour (gravity drip), and benefits are often felt within minutes.  One to five treatments are generally sufficient, though some conditions might require ongoing therapy.
