Naturopathic Hydrotherapies
Hydrotherapy is the application of water in any form, externally or internally, to treat disease and maintain health. Naturopathic hydrotherapy is hydrotherapy used in conjunction with natural modalities such as supplements, herbs, and homeopathy.
Colon Hydrotherapy

Description: Irrigation of the large intestine using purified water. Treatments are an integral part of YNC's seasonal cleanse program and are generally useful at any time to remove toxins from the body and complement healing. Probiotics are added to the irrigation water at the end of treatment to replace beneficial bacteria in the intestine.
Constitutional Hydrotherapy

Description: Alternating application of hot and cold towels over the trunk of the body in conjunction with electrical stimulation to the back and abdomen. Enhances immune response, improves nutrient absorption, promotes detoxification, and helps restore nervous system equilibrium.
Botanical Peat Bath

Description: Full-submersion bath that stimulates the body's natural cycle of recuperation and healing. Helpful for general detoxification (cleansing) and relief from arthritis and other chronic inflammatory conditions. Combination of heat, water, and peat improves circulation and relaxes and muscles and tissues.
Botanical Peat Peloid Pack

Description: Application of concentrated peat mud with a moist heat pack to a specific location on the body. Relieves pain associated with carpal tunnel syndrome, low back problems, and muscle and tendon injuries.
Fever Treatments

Description: Following a hot bath, patient is wrapped in sheets to raise the body temperature to mimic a fever and cause sweating. Treatment is useful for chasing away the common cold or flu, detoxifying the liver and lymphatic systems, and render viruses more vulnerable to the body's defense mechanisms. We will assist you with fever treatments at the spa or give you free instructions for home treatment.
Cold Wet Sheet Wrap

Description: Full-body wrap featuring a cold, wet sheet placed against the body and covered with dry wool blankets to regulate body temperature and evaporation. A powerful means of detoxification; as the body warms, large amounts of waste products and toxins are released from the tissues and lymphatic systems.
