Cindy WoodfordThe Yellowstone Naturopathic Clinic would like to introduce their new nutritionist, Cindy Woodford. Cindy will be doing individual nutrition consultations at the Yellowstone Naturopathic Clinic along with cooking demonstrations and nutrition classes. Classes and cooking demonstrations will begin late-July and will be given in the Nutrition Center of Yellowstone Naturopathic Clinic’s new annex. Additions to the Hydrotherapy Department

Cherie & Ellen completed training in the use of Vichy Showers and Herbal Wraps at the Remede Spa in Sausalito, CA. After such a beautiful experience there, they are excited to offer these treatments to aid you in your goal for good health.

Vichy Showers

Choose one of three aromatherapy oil blends to combine with the Marine salts and start your treatment with an invigorating body scrub. Combine this with the use of the Vichy Shower, a stimulating rainshower massage delivered by 6 shower heads carefully positioned in alignment with the spine. The Vichy Shower stimulates circulation, exfoliates the skin, energizes the body and simultaneously creates a relaxing intermission for the mind.

Herbal Wraps

A combination of herbs and heat aids the body’s elimination process. The body is wrapped in linens that have been soaked in a special herbal tea blend, then wrapped in thermal blankets for sustained warmth and comfort. This treatment increases surface circulation inducing perspiration and elimination of toxins.

We are committed to supporting your journey toward optimal health and wholeness. We are excited and privileged to offer hydrotherapies that enhance and extend your efforts toward wellness. We are eager for everyone to experience the benefits of hydrotherapy.

Welcome Dr. Powers

William Powers, N.D.William Powers, a California native, became interested in veterinary medicine as a child, but his focus changed from animals to people after losing both grandfathers to cancer.

After earning a liberal arts degree, he worked full-time and attended evening classes that would allow him to become a physician. As a practicing vegetarian and proponent of natural health, he focused on Natural Medicine. William Powers became a physician at Bastyr University in Seattle, WA, fulfilling a dream.

Dr. Powers believes in the inherent intelligence of the human body and the healing power of nature to bring the body into balance. He works with patients to determine an appropriate, individualized course of treatment. Dr. Powers’ medical interests include sports medicine, cardiology and general family practice.

Dr. Powers enjoys running, cycling, hiking and playing softball. He enjoys cooking, reading and playing his guitar in his spare time.

Meet our new Massage Therapists

Elizabeth Thompson Almann, M.Ed., LMT, received her training in Polarity Energy Balancing & Bodywork from Southwest Institute of Healing Arts in Scottsdale, AZ. She has been practicing energy healing since 1995.

Robin Kratschmer, a Natural Therapeutic Specialist and certified Rolfer, graduated from massage school in Albuquerque, NM in 1983 and from the Rolf Institute in Boulder, CO in 1997. In August 2002, she will complete Reiki Level III training.

Yoga

Yoga may be the missing link in your body/mind health and wellness routine. Regular practice can initiate healthy changes by helping you reduce stress, build strength and flexibility, and increase overall feelings of well-being. Yoga affects not only the muscles and joints of the body but also helps improve the health of the nervous system and internal organs. Yoga supports the “inner healer” to create positive effects on your immune system. It's never too late to make these practical, self-help tools your own.

Classes are $8 each for drop-ins, or buy cards for 6, 12, or 18 classes. Cards are good for any class on the schedule and may be purchased in advance at the Yellowstone Naturopathic Clinic or at any class.
