Patient Education

Lending Library

The YNC lending library in the main clinic reception area contains a wide variety of books, and a small selection of videos, for patient checkout.  The materials cover health topics ranging from cancer and pain relief to whole foods, autism, fatigue, childrearing, yoga, sexuality, and natural medicine.

Lending Policies
We loan books only to YNC patients, who may peruse the library for materials of interest any time during regular clinic hours.  The lending period is 2 weeks.   If you have not contacted us within 5 days of the due date to make arrangements to return an item or extend the lending period, we will bill your account for the replacement cost of the item.  Our goal is to keep the library current and well stocked for the benefit of all patients.

Checkout Procedure
To check out a book, retrieve it from the library shelves and take it to the front desk. The receptionist will mark the due date in the book, add your name to the lending card, and remove the card for our files.

Donations
We appreciate donations of relevant books in good condition to add to the library.  Donated materials become the property of YNC. We reserve the right to refuse any donated materials that we deem inappropriate for any reason.
